SHOP BAHRAIN LAUNCHES SPECIAL RAMADAN EDITION

Shop Bahrain, a national initiative launched by Tamkeen, announces the launch of its Ramadan Edition. The initiative offers shoppers exclusive promotions and discounts during the month of Ramadan and the chance to win weekly prizes. Participating food retailers include Al Osra, Carrefour, Lulu Hypermarket and Midway Supermarket with a total of 18 outlets all around Bahrain. Shop Bahrain’s Ramadan Edition will commence on 25th May and conclude on 25th June.

Muharraq STP Company Employees Receive Operator Certification

As part of Tamkeen’s Professional Certification Scheme, 9 Bahrainis have been certified as level one wastewater plant operators. The certification falls under Tamkeen’s ongoing efforts to establish Bahrainis as the employees of choice. The group obtained the certification following training and official examination held at the headquarters of the Muharraq STP Company under the supervision of the consulting engineering firm Engicon.

Tamkeen and Mowgli Foundation Bring Together Bahraini Entrepreneurs with Trained Mentors

As part of Tamkeen’s range of Advisory services, Tamkeen and Mowgli Foundation concluded a four day Kickstart workshop which successfully matched 15 Bahraini entrepreneurs with 15 trained mentors.  This workshop was the first milestone of the Mowgli Mentoring Experience programme (MME), a year long mentoring relationship designed to empower entrepreneurs and develop their personal and business capabilities.

Tamkeen Participates in University Career Fairs

As part of its continued efforts to support Bahrainis throughout their developmental stages, Tamkeen participated in several career fairs at various universities including the University of Bahrain, Gulf University and the Royal University for Women. Tamkeen’s participation in the career fairs comes in  support of youth empowerment through vocational training and skills development.

Tamkeen Holds Orientation Session with Students of Higher Education Institutions

Tamkeen, in partnership with the Higher Education Council, recently organised an orientation session with different students of Bahrain’s higher education institutions. The session, in line with Tamkeen’s ongoing efforts to support Bahrainis throughout all stages of development and to enhance their skills development, was held at the Westin Hotel and saw the participation of 30 student council representatives from 11 universities and educational institutions
