Tamkeen announces plan to train 1200 Bahrainis in coding and other emerging technology skills in collaboration with the world’s leading technology academy “General Assembly” and BIBF

Tamkeen (Labour Fund) established a strategic collaboration with the world’s leading technology training academy, General Assembly, and the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF), to launch training programs that will provide specialized tech training for around 1,200 Bahraini nationals over a period of two years. This collaboration will bring to the Kingdom General Assembly’s wealth of global experience in technology training while building on Tamkeen’s commitment to increase the tech talent supply as well as making Bahrainis competitive both locally and internationally.

“Skills Bahrain” a Comprehensive National Initiative to Monitor Current and Future Labour Market Needs

The Labour Fund “Tamkeen” announced that work is underway to launch the “Skills Bahrain” Initiative based on the direction of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training chaired His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, who discussed the project’s progress to date during the last meeting.  The initiative is currently being implemented by the Tamkeen in collaboration with several relevant government and private sector entities involved in education, training, and professional labour market requirements.
