Supporting budding tech entrepreneurs in developing their startups through an acceleration program powered by Salica Investments

  • About the Partnership

    We partnered with Salica Investments to offer a unique accelerator program that supports entrepreneurs in developing and enhancing their early-stage tech startups. The program offers hands-on and practical support over the course of six months in four main areas: commercialization, product development, fundraising, and team development. Participants will have access to support tailored to their needs from experienced mentors, product developers and industry leaders, in addition to potential funding opportunities.  

  • Eligibility Criteria
    • Bahrain-based startups with an active CR or license and operating for less than 3 years; 

    OR 

    • Startups without CR or license can apply if they have a prototype and at least one Bahraini founder  

    Additional Criteria: 

    • The startup must have a unique tech-based idea with high potential for scalability locally, regionally and internationally 
    • The applicant must be fully committed to the program, ready and available to participate in all sessions, workshops and activities throughout the program duration (6 months) and is able to allocate at least one full-time founder to work on the startup 
  • Support Mechanism

    We will support 100% of the acceleration program costs  

    The program will offer entrepreneurs the following benefits:

    • Access funding opportunities: engage with investors and develop strong financial plans and comprehensive datarooms 
    • Develop a growth strategy: benefit from personalized business, finance, and product development strategies. 
    • Build a commercialization strategy: build a sales pipeline, learn to market and sell their product effectively, find the best ways to reach customers and generate revenue. 
    • Develop a competitive product: get hands on support to develop the initial prototype into a ready-for-market product.
    • Optimize business financials and projections: get expert help in managing their startup’s finances, from budgeting to forecasting future growth. 
    • Understand their market fit: identify their target audience and refine their offerings. 
    • Build a strong team: foster a unified, effective team for success. 

    The program is 6 months long and is divided into structured phases as follows:  

    • Selection (1 week): a selection process identifying startups with the most impactful potential.
    • Discovery (2 weeks): tailoring the program to the startup’s unique needs, setting clear milestones and matching the startup with the right mentors.
    • Advisory (26 weeks): comprehensive mentorship covering every aspect of startup success from prototype to fundraising to building the right team.
