
Tamkeen announces the graduation of the first cohort of the Accelerating Women’s Leadership Program conducted in partnership with HEC Paris
The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) announced the graduation of the first cohort of female leaders who participated in the Accelerating Women’s Leadership Program. The program was launched as part of a series of the Executive Leadership Training initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa Bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). The initiative aims to provide high-quality opportunities for Bahraini professionals. The program was held in partnership with the world-leading business school HEC Paris within efforts to enhance the leadership skills of Bahraini women.
The event marked the graduation of thirty Bahraini women as the first cohort of a targeted group of ninety set to participate in the intensive training program. The program, which focuses on advanced research and best practices in leadership skills development, includes a series of sessions on managing complex leadership environments, influencing and persuasion skills, enhancing problem-solving abilities and adopting an objective-driven leadership approach.
On the occasion, Her Excellency, Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), emphasized the importance of supporting Bahraini women in realizing their ambition and increasing their participation in the workforce.
“Empowering Bahraini women and increasing their participation in the labor market is a central focus for Tamkeen and one of the main mandates Tamkeen was established to fulfill. For that reason, we continuously introduce programs and initiatives dedicated to Bahraini women alongside forming strategic partnerships with global organizations to deliver high-quality training,” said Her Excellency Ms. Mofeez.
“We are confident in the ability of Bahraini women to assume leadership positions and thrive in the private sector and this program plays a pivotal role in fast-tracking their development and advancement of Bahraini female leaders.”
The program was delivered in collaboration with HEC Paris, an internationally renowned institution in business education and academic research, aimed at equipping Bahraini women with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in leadership roles within the Kingdom’s private sector.

The program aligns with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2025, which focuses on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping Bahrainis with suitable skills for career developments in the private sector, and prioritizing enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability, and supporting the development of the ecosystem surrounding the labor market and private sector.
