Tamkeen Revamps Basic Skills Certification Scheme for Bahrainis

Tamkeen announced the revamp of its successful Basic Skills Certifications Scheme, designed to equip Bahrainis with crucial skill sets for future employment. The program comes as part of Tamkeen’s efforts to provide Bahrainis with the core skills to make them the employee of choice and build their capabilities throughout their developmental stages.

Inaugural BAAB Exhibition Kicks Off in London

The inaugural BAAB exhibition 2016 kicked off in the heart of London under the Patronage of Bahrain’s Ambassador for the United Kingdom His Excellency Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa; and in attendance of Mr. Fahad Albinali, Deputy Head of Mission and Tamkeen’s Chief Executive Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, with over 50 unique artworks unveiled during a private launch reception held at the highly-reputed Victoria and Albert Museum. Celebrating Bahrain’s topography, rich culture and traditions, the London collection has been inspired by the first batch of 17 artists of the Bahrain Art Across Borders (BAAB) initiative.

32 Secondary Schools Compete in Tamkeen’s 9th edition of “A9eel in School” Program for the year 2015-2016

The “A9eel in School” program, organized by Tamkeen in partnership with the Ministry of Education, concluded its “A9eel Competition for the year 2015-2016” in which 32 government secondary schools participated from the general and technical education system with an approximate of 500 students. The final ceremony agenda included a workshop and a panel discussion around work ethics importance in the corporate world.  The final event was then concluded with an award ceremony that highlighted the top 3 winning schools:  Al Wafa Secondary Girls School (First Place Winner), Isa Town Secondary Girls School and Muharraq Secondary Girls School (Second Place Winner and runner-up), and Sitra Secondary Girls School (Third Place Winner).
