“Skills Bahrain” a Comprehensive National Initiative to Monitor Current and Future Labour Market Needs

The Labour Fund “Tamkeen” announced that work is underway to launch the “Skills Bahrain” Initiative based on the direction of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training chaired His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, who discussed the project’s progress to date during the last meeting.  The initiative is currently being implemented by the Tamkeen in collaboration with several relevant government and private sector entities involved in education, training, and professional labour market requirements.

Tamkeen’s annual 2022 Consultation Forum was held virtually today, Wednesday, January 26, by His Excellency Mr. Husain Mohammed Rajab, the Chief Executive of Labour Fund “Tamkeen.” At the forum, His Excellency stressed the importance Tamkeen’s strategic approach, which comes as a response to the current economic reality and the rapidly changing global economic climate.

Citi Launches Global Technology Hub in Bahrain

Citi today inaugurated a global technology hub at its premises in Bahrain. The Citi technology hub, launched as part of a long-term strategic partnership with Tamkeen and the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), will be one of the most advanced in the region with the aim of creating 1,000 coding jobs over the next ten years.
