Wage Increment Program “New Employees”

Enabling enterprises to employ qualified Bahraini talent and incentivize them with higher wages

  • About the Program

    As part of our commitment to supporting the career progression of Bahrainis, we encourage enterprises to employ new talent with higher wages by fully supporting the difference between their new and previous wages.

    This program paves the way for enterprises to get the talent they require and for qualified Bahrainis to advance and grow in their careers.  

  • Eligibility Criteria

    For enterprises:   

    • Enterprise must have an active CR/license 
    • Enterprise must not have violations from Tamkeen or LMRA 

    For employees:  

    • Employee must be a Bahraini national 
    • Employee must have a minimum of 24 months experience 
    • Employee must have at least 3 months of experience with the same enterprise 
    • Employee’s job transfer must be to a different company with no ties to the current one (For example: not a sister company or owned by the same person) 
    • Employee joined the enterprise less than 6 months ago  
    • Employee’s wage prior to moving to the new employer must be between BHD 300 and BHD 1200 
    • Employee’s new wage must be at least 10% higher than their previous wage 
  • Support Mechanism

    We will support 100% of the difference between the employee’s previous wage and their new wage in a new job for a period of 24 months up to the approved cap amount.

    The maximum amount supported is BHD 300.
