
In Partnership with Harvard Business Corporate Learning and EMIC Training Tamkeen Kicks off the First Cohort of the Leadership Skills Program for Bahrainis
The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) announced the commencement of the first cohort of the Leadership Skills Program offered in partnership with Harvard Business Corporate Learning and EMIC Training, a Bahrain-based professional and academic training institute under the ELM Education Fund, part of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, and Harvard Business Corporate Learning.
This program comes as part of the Executive Leadership Training Initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), with the purpose of providing high-quality opportunities for Bahraini talent.
This program provides training opportunities for 200 Bahrainis through two tracks designed for leaders currently employed in the private sector at mid-level and executive levels, with each track tailored to meet the specific needs of its participants. The first cohort includes 100 Bahraini participants from various economic sectors and backgrounds such as entrepreneurs, executives and leaders from enterprises of different sizes. The participants were selected following a highly competitive and rigorous assessment process.
Joining the track for mid-level managers, 50 of the participants will attend a training program focused on equipping them with essential management and influence skills, such as effective communication, strategies for motivating and developing their employees, and productivity-enhancing management techniques.
While another 50 participants will join the track for executive-level managers which is focused on the top ten leadership competencies aligned with the Kingdom’s vision, including communication and influence, resilience and agility in responding to challenges, leveraging digital transformation, and more.
This program aligns with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2025, which focuses on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping Bahrainis with suitable skills for career development in the private sector, and prioritizing enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability, and supporting the development of the ecosystem surrounding the labor market and private sector.
