The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Pavilion at LEAP 2025, which was held under the theme “The Future of Technology”, featured 14 start-ups in various technological fields and their participation was supported by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and organized by the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH).

During the event, the Bahraini companies had the opportunity to explore potential market entry into Saudi Arabia through a workshop organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Bahraini companies experienced various positive outcomes and valuable opportunities to foster their growth and expansion outside the Kingdom. Notably, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research & Development Center and “Elm”, a leading digital solutions company in Saudi Arabia, to collaborate in the field of intelligent digital services based on artificial intelligence technologies.

As for the “Rocket Fuel” competition, an annual event for start-ups held as part of LEAP 2025, it provides a valuable opportunity for entrepreneurs to present their innovative ideas to a wide audience of investors and sector leaders, opening new horizons for investment and growth for these companies. Among 120 participants from around the world, “Makan” and “Unipal” successfully closed a Pre-Series A Investment Round with a  selected group of top investors.

This support is in line with Tamkeen’s Strategic priorities for 2025, which focuses on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping Bahrainis with suitable skills for career development in the private sector, and prioritizing enterprise growth, digitization and sustainability, and supporting the development of the ecosystem surrounding the labor market and private sector.
